WHAT YOUR NEW JOB WILL INVOLVE

We are looking for a results-driven, proactive, skilled, and dedicated Transport Manager with strong organizational abilities and experience in transportation. You will be responsible for the performance of our carriers, KPIs, data management, and optimization. In addition, you will participate in our transport tenders, helping to select carriers that align with JYSK's needs, with the goal of improving and optimizing our transportation contracts.

Your key responsibilities:

• Setting up transport for our stores, online customers (future), and B2B clients

• Monitoring performance (KPIs) and initiating corrective actions

• Cost control within the transport area

• Launching and executing transport tenders

• Continuously improving service and cost efficiency

• Exploring the market for new carriers for potential collaboration with JYSK

• Ensuring close alignment and coordination with internal stakeholders

• Organizing and/or participating in internal meetings and performance reviews with carriers

• Developing and maintaining an efficient and professional organization

You will be part of an international working environment and a member of the Transport Manager Matrix Group, which includes transport managers from our 10 distribution centers across Europe. In your daily work, you’ll be part of the Management Team, contributing to the further development of JYSK’s logistics function, always with a service-oriented mindset!

You also have:

• Experience in a similar role within transportation

• Experience with data management

• A precise work ethic and attention to detail

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Willingness to travel at least 20 days per year (in the first two years, 40-60 days due to training in Denmark)
